Beneath the beams
In Andalusia, the upper floor of houses, the one beneath the roof, is called "soberao". The studio is on a first floor, reached by stairs, and the wooden roof structure remains visible above the living room and bedroom.

Osuna, on foot
Stepping out of El Soberao's door is to enter one of the monumental cities of Andalusia. Osuna is best explored slowly and on foot: baroque façades, convents, the collegiate church atop the hill and, as evening falls, the silence of its streets.
Collegiate Church of Santa María de la Asunción
Renaissance style, atop the hill. It houses a painting by Ribera and the pantheon of the Dukes of Osuna.
Former University
Founded in the 16th century next to the collegiate church, with its porticoed courtyard and corner towers.
Calle San Pedro
Baroque palaces and stately houses, such as that of the Marquis of La Gomera, one after another.
Monastery of La Encarnación
Cloistered convent with a courtyard of Seville tiles and a collection of sacred art.
Torre del Agua
Defensive tower of medieval origin that today houses the Archaeological Museum of Osuna.
Las Canteras
On the outskirts, old stone quarries carved into the rock, with walls rising like a roofless cathedral.
